well all of a sudden it takes for freakin ever to download stuff

i am trying to download vids from IGN and it either takes forever or most of the time just quits in the middle of it
it's been happening in the past week
last week it was working fine
anyone know whythis might be happening

check for spyware.

Try restoring your machine to an earlier date. It could be that those specific sites are having problems of their own.

Spyware or viruses can be using the system and slowing it down. Otherwise, yeah, it's the site having problem if it only occurs during downloads. Of course, this is assuming that you're not on a dial-up, and are still getting good speeds when doing other heavy up/download things.
